Description: A 2-day program, held during the AUR annual meeting, that focuses on management and leadership skills. Topics addressed include: Off-campus imaging centers; negotiation skills; incentive plans for academic clinical radiologists; conflict resolution in academic radiology; turf battles in radiology; operations improvement as a vehicle for change; JCAHO, a quality improvement plan. The program is primarily based on the case-study method, in combination with keynote talks.
A new addition in 2008 is the AUR-Agfa Radiology in Management Award. This award will fulfill the desire for the program to evolve into an even more interactive educational experience. The award winner will present his/her case during the program. Only past participants of the program are eligible for the award.
Target Audience: Mid-career academic radiologists in leadership positions, and radiology department administrators.

Fee: No fee. Thirty individuals are selected from submitted nominations/applications. Individuals may be nominated by department chair, or may individually apply, with chairman's approval. Participants must be AUR members and must register for AUR meeting.
